First of all, we have nothing to do with Hunter Mountain, the only reason our name contains this is that we ski at Hunter and are trying to get "freeskiing" going there.
The main reason for this site is that we want to get rights for the freestyle skiers at Hunter. Now when I say "freestyle" I don't necessarily mean just bump competitions, I am also talking about big air contests and possibly even halfpipe.

We're pretty sure that we're not the only ones who feel this way, that's why we made this site. We need to get the skiers together, and get into the snowboarding competitions or make our own.

I was disappointed this year when I went to try to register for the "Blades Monster Park Battle" and was not allowed to enter because I was on skis. And that got me thinking, and I came up with the idea. If we get a bunch of skiers together, maybe we could get noticed, and get some rights. I mean, it took a few years just to let skiers legally in to the terrain park, and I think we should also be allowed to compete in any events that take place in it.

We have not actually talked to anyone about this, but I'm guessing they don't let skiers in #1, because they don't think enough skiers would enter, or #2, they just don't want skiers in these competitions. But, we figured it would be better to get an idea of how many people would actually show up at these events before we tried to get them together.
